READING WEEK

20th June, 2011
INAUGURATION OF READING WEEK

On June 20th we had inaugurated our Reading Week. Our beloved Head Mistress Sr. Rosarita inaugurated it. On this fine day we came to know that our School had got the Best Library Award of Kozhikode revenue District called the Theruvath Raman’s Award. We were immensely filled with joy. We had various programmes related to the Reading Week like Book Reviews, Speeches, Recitation and Reading of Story Books. We were given awareness about reading and knowledge we could attain from this useful habit.

Our teachers conducted various competitions during the week like Reading, Newspaper Reading competitions, Quiz competitions and Poster making. We thus made the reading week a wonderful experience.

S.S.L.C & PLUS TWO ‘A+’ HOLDERS




The geniuses of our school, the pride of our school were honoured on this day. Sr. Rosarita, Calicut Corporation Mayor A. K. Premajam, Ex – PTA President Mrs. Bindu Amat, Sr. Jovita and all the PTA Executives were invited.



The Best Performance award consisting of Gold Medal was given to Megha N Kumar of the Higher Secondary, who secured 100% marks for Plus One & Plus Two. All the chief guests gave us motivational talks which boosted us with power as they shared their testimonies.


The P.T.A honoured 45 students of the S.S.L.C A+ holders and 54 of Plus Two students with a momento. This programme enlightened us and inspired us to get full A+ in the forthcoming S.S.L.C exam.

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY



7th June, 2011



Another major event which took place was the World Environment Day. It is an event which gives us awareness on the conservation of our mother earth. All of us collectively took part in this memorable event to get and to give environmental messages to save ourselves and mother earth.

Sr. Rosarita had given us a great opportunity to attend a class of Sathyan Meppayur who gave us a lot of knowledge. This enriching class gave us a lot of knowledge about nature, various forms of nature and gave us an idea how vibrant nature is. A debate based on Nuclear energy was conducted which gave us details of Nuclear power. We had other cultural programmes also. Saplings were also given to us. We had various competitions.

Our first day in school ………………

June 1st Wednesday dawned in our school and all the tiny tots from 1st std to the seniors, +2 were welcomed as we were the cynosiums of our prestigious institution. Vibrant and splendid programmes were staged here to welcome all. Our Superior Sr. Sheena, beloved Principals Sr. Rosarita and Sr. Nidhisha were guests of Honour on this auspicious event. Thus a fabulous event was made a great success by each and everyone. Pravesanotsavam of St. Joseph’s Anglo – Indian Girls’ Higher Secondary School was celebrated in a totally different way. A great fest took place here.

S.S.L.C RESULTS 2010 -2011

The S.S.L.C result has been published. Out of 143 students who appeared for the exam, 45 secured A+ in all the subjects. 17 students got A+ in all the subjects except one.
