INSTALLATION OF SCHOOL PARLIAMENT AND CLUB INAUGURATIONS

22ND JUNE, 2012

" We the Cabinet members, promise ............." this was the voice which echoed through the walls of St. Joseph's during the installation of School Parliament on 22nd June. The Higher Secondary leaders under the leadership of Alpana Poyyail as well as High School leaders under the leadership of Nanda C T took their solemn oath of responsibility and reliability in the presence of our beloved Principal Sr. Nidhisha A C and Headmistress Sr. M Rosarita A C.
Along with the installation of Cabinet members, in the presence of our Alma mater the inauguration of clubs was also organised.

READING WEEK INAUGURATION AND PLANTING OF SAPLINGS

 18TH JUNE, 2012

Reading week was celebrated on June 18th in a very grand manner. The eminent personality Abubakkar, the chief Editor of Manorama daily was invited to inaugurate reading week. A speech on importance of reading was delivered by him. As part of reading week many competitions like quiz, newspaper reading, essay writing were conducted.An oath was also taken.

Saplings were distributed by Mr. Abubakkar to the students.

WELCOMING THE BISHOP AND ADORABLE ACHIEVERS

15TH JUNE, 2012

We had the best results in our 150 years of S.S.L.C examinations.This year 52 out of 150 students who wrote the exams got full A+. In our Plus Two Public Exams 35 students achieved full A+ and 2 students each from Science department and Commerce department attained 1200 out of 1200.Rt. Rev. Dr. Varghese Chakkalakkal was the guest of honour of this function. The achievers were awarded a gold coin and momento.

ECO CLUB - TRIP TO WAYANAD

On June 9th, 36 students from the High School section went to Wayanad on behalf of the Eco Club of St. Joseph's Anglo - Indian Girls' H.S.S. to plant saplings on hairpin curves of Wayanad as part of the Environment Day activities.

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 2012

5TH JUNE, 2012

On 6th June, we celebrated the World Environment Day under the leadership of SPEK. Dr. P. S. Sheeba working in Chemistry Department of Malabar Christian College made the children aware of the harmful effects of Plastic and relevance of Green Plastic in future world.

WED ACHIEVER 2012

Arathi Menon of Std. 10  secured first place in the Essay Writing Competition held in connection with the World Environment Day 2012 celebration organized by Centre for Water Resources Development and Management (CWRDM) at Kunnamangalam, Kozhikode.

PRAVESANOTSAVAM 2012

4TH JUNE, 2012

On June 4th, we celebrated the Pravesanotsavam to kick start a new academic year with fresh innovation and brand new ideas. Our Headmistress Sr. M. Rosarita , Principal Sr. Nidhisha, Ward Councillor Mr. Kishen Chand, Teacher representative Tr. Saritha and Student representative 

Gopika Suresh lit the lamp of learning.  

Pravesanotsavam Rally was organised to welcome the newcomers to the School.The rally was lead by the School Band.

SESQUICENTENNIAL CELEBRATION (1862 - 2012) AND THE ANNUAL DAY PROGRAMME

Our school celebrated 150 years since its inception in 1862. The Sesquicentennial celebrations was inaugurated by Dr. M. K. Muneer, Hon. Minister of Social Welfare and Panchayats on 19th February, 2012.The guests of honour during the function were Dr.K. S. Radhakrishnan, Chairman, Kerala Public Service Commission, Dr. K. P. Prabhakaran Nair, Agricultural Scientist, and Dr. Sneha Sudha Komath, Biophysicist, JNU, New Delhi.
